Every project starts somewhere.
For us, it started with a simple observation: some of the most-loved card games in the world — Call Bridge, 29 — never really got a great home on mobile. The versions that existed felt clunky, outdated, or built more like an afterthought than a real product. So we asked ourselves a simple question: what if we just built the version we’d actually want to play?
That question became Card Freaky.
Two games, one table
Card Freaky brings together two classic trick-taking card games — Call Bridge and 29 — in a single app, built from the ground up for real-time multiplayer. No waiting around for slow bots, no clunky menus standing between you and the table. Just pick your game, pick your mode, and play.
- Single Player — sharpen your skills against smart AI before you take on real opponents.
- Multiplayer — real-time tables with real players, anywhere in the world.
- Tournament — compete for the top spot on the leaderboard and see where you rank.
Built for how people actually play
A lot of the early design decisions came down to one thing: respecting the game. Call Bridge and 29 are games people take seriously — the bidding, the trump calls, the small rivalries that build over dozens of rounds with the same group of friends. We didn’t want to flatten any of that into something generic. So we spent time on the details that matter: smooth card animations, fast table loading, clear bid indicators, and a UI that gets out of the way so the game itself stays the star.
From sketch to store
Like most things we build, Card Freaky didn’t start as a finished idea. It started as a rough sketch, a lot of debate about what “feels right” in a card game, and more than a few late nights arguing over animation timing for a single card flip. Somewhere between the whiteboard and the first working prototype, it started to feel like something worth finishing properly — and a few months later, here we are.
What’s next
Card Freaky is live today on Android, completely free to download. This is just the starting point — we’ve got tournaments, seasonal events, and a few other ideas already in the pipeline based on what the earliest players tell us matters most.
If you grew up playing Call Bridge or 29 with family, or you’re just looking for a card game that actually respects the game — this one’s for you.
